Screamy McScreamerson

Lily has taken to screaming as loud as she possibly can if she goes more than one second past the time she thinks she should be fed. She screams and screams until she can't catch her breath. I have no warning either so I can be prepared. Sometimes she wants to eat after 2 hours and sometimes she will go 3. She really has no hunger cues either except the blood curdling scream. The bottle warmer takes waaaay too long. Someone needs to invent an instant bottle warmer. I would pay good money for that!

  1. BM can be left out for 4 - 10 hours and not go bad. If I were you, I would keep 1 bottle out at all time. When she eats, take a new one out. That way it is already at room temp and you just have to heat it up a few degrees.

  2. do you have a mini crock pot? the little $10 one you can get at walmart? keep it filled with water and on all day. works so much better than the stupid warmers ever did!

btw, check your email - you won my boon giveaway!

  4. Have you tried giving her a little cold milk? We did it in stages. When she was 2 months old, we were giving it to her straight out of the fridge. Life has been grand since.

  5. Our preemie does that, too! After about the first week we learned that speed was more important to him than temperature. So, from then on out, he takes his bottles straight from the fridge. At night we pack a cooler full of bottles and stick it next to the glider in his room!
